IV. Why we built it
We wanted a quieter kind of technology.
We kept watching the same thing happen — to people we love, and to ourselves. Somewhere along the way, talking turned into posting. We would share a moment, then check back again and again, waiting for approval from people we rarely speak to.
Every app we tried added more noise. Feeds wanted our attention. Trackers turned feelings into scores. Writing apps turned honesty into attendance. Each one placed an audience — or an opinion — between us and a plain look at our own lives.
So we built the thing that was missing: a mirror. It asks a good question, shows you your own words, and keeps quiet.
